2023 is beginning to creep up on us all, and as visionaries, I’m sure you’re looking for ways to “get ahead of the game” when it comes to hopping on trends and implementing relevant marketing strategies.
We might be biased, but we believe the first place to start is always looking at your branding. Branding sets you apart from your competitors and helps you stand out. However, with all of the digital trends these days and an era of distractions, a pretty logo and website just won’t cut it to make you stand out.
A great way to start optimizing your brand for 2023 is by researching a few upcoming trends that are easy to implement and are guaranteed to capture the attention of your audience.
Below are five branding predictions for 2023 (in all forms of branding) that we believe are essential to focus on for your success.

Logo Adaptability
Consistency is essential for branding, but change is still good! Brands should consider having logos for different occasions to give their audience a variety to look at and keep them from getting bored. One way to do so is through your visual branding.
Heineken is a great example of logo adaptability. When you think of Heiniken, maybe you think of their full logo with the name. But, others might just think of their iconic green star with the red trim – both are logos, and both signify the brand. Check it out below!
As the matter of fact, people are becoming more visual, so your branding should reflect strong visuals that can still catch people off guard and get them thinking about you in different ways, and in different formats.
Transparent Branding
Everyone loves a person that keeps it real. So, it’s time for brands to do the same!
People are starting to have much more appreciation for brands that are transparent about what they do, why they do it, what they struggle with, and how they’re improving.
A great example of this is showing EXACTLY what someone can get when they purchase your product or program. Another example is stating the values of your brand that people can either resonate with or know that your program/products might not be for them – and that’s okay!
Overall, the best thing you can do is create a safe space for your community, and build that trust. Sales take time, but when people put their trust in your brand you’ll see the conversions rolling in.
So this topic might feel simple, but it’s so important for creating happy customers – so remember, keep it real!
Technological Branding
Videos, photos, apps, webinars, podcasts, emails, IG lives, augmented reality…the list goes on when it comes to technology. So how can you choose one to focus on for your brand?
The answer is, you can’t. Coming into 2023, you’re going to have to focus on multiple platforms of technology in order to reach your audience in a creative way.
However, creating digital programs and utilizing technology can aid you and your business immensely when it comes to making data-driven decisions and adapting to the needs of your customers. Entrepreneurs and brand marketers have been utilizing technology for years, but it’s important to adapt your programs to the quickly changing environment in order to create solid user experiences and stay relevant. Using forms of multimedia is a great start for this – check out our blog HERE on all things Multimedia!
Nostalgic Branding
When it comes to ads these days, people are going back in time! For example, Spotify’s recent ads are about taking songs from the 80s and 90s and rekindling them to compare them to the 2019 trends (which are also in the past, but the songs are way more present still today)!
This is a genius example because it’s utilizing how humans think by tapping into their previous memories, and giving them something to connect to that they already know so that they can better understand new information. Connecting the past with the future is a massive trend that you should start creatively thinking about next time you’re writing ad copy or planning campaigns.
Influencer Branding
As humans, we feel most comfortable when following other people. Think about some of your recent “luxury” or “wanted, not needed” purchases – you probably purchased these things because you heard from other people how much they loved them, and wanted them for yourself.
If you’ve been in that situation, then you’ve experienced the power of influencing.
When it comes to branding, the concept of influencers has been extremely popular in 2022, and we predict it isn’t going away any time soon. If you can find the right influencer to represent and share your brand, you’ve saved yourself a ton of time and money to try and find your niche.
More specifically, user-generated content is a huge topic in the influencer world right now, where brands can receive organic content from others sharing their thoughts and experiences about a brand, program, or product. This can be in the form of blogs, videos, Instagram posts, and more (AKA multimedia like we mentioned above!)
Therefore, it’s important that you focus on providing a great user experience for your clients (or influencers), and provide people incentives to share with others (bonus if they have a good following on social media). Just make sure you stay authentic! 😉
