When is it time to rebrand my company

If you’re reading this post, you’ve obviously been contemplating the decision of branding or rebranding your product or service.

At the end of this article, you’ll have a better understanding if you’re at the right point for branding or when you should plan to take that step.

Before we get into it, welcome to the Legacy Creative tribe!

On this blog you’ll learn about branding, communication and taking your business to the next level, meaning more clients, more profit and more transformation. If you’re into any of that, join the weekly Brandable Bites email, where you’ll get branding tips and tricks we don’t share anywhere else.

If you already have a business and some client success you are already branding knowingly or unknowingly. The way you are talking, posting, and even signing off emails are all aspects of a brand blueprint.

So let’s get to the good stuff.

Signs you might be ready for branding or rebranding.

Sign number one. You struggle to explain what you do in one sentence.

This one might seem obvious but if you can’t clearly explain what you deliver in one sentence you might have some branding work to do.

Sign number two. You have confusing messaging.

Sometimes the words on a page are supported by your thoughts so when you as the visionary are reading a page or offer it all makes sense but for someone new, they understand something completely different. Put yourself in a new user’s shoes or better yet, send your page to a friend and ask for their honest feedback about what they think you are offering.

Sign number three. Clients communicate that they love what you share but don’t exactly know how to work with you.

You talk the talk but aren’t having clients pay you money. Each point above may seem like a copywriting issue but in reality, it’s everything from the colors you use, the imagery you post, or how you run a meeting. Branding is about creating a consistent feeling for your client that is clear and easy to understand.

So maybe you think you’re ready for branding – now what?

If you Google, “What makes good brand design?” you’ll probably find a long list of to-dos and examples of how to bring it all together. Instead of hours researching and scraping something together that might be clear to you and not your team, we have a solution for you.

The Legacy Creative Team is your one-stop shop for a comprehensive branding blueprint that allows you to fill in your vision and passion while maintaining a structured business that is consistent and supportive of your product.
